Hermitage is a multilingual, multicultural and philosophically diverse rock and roll band with a retrospect towards the Iranian culture and psyche.  The Band is based in London UK. Hermitage band is consisted of Chester Ho (Drums), Chris Skelton (Bass), Rob Buscher (Guitar) and Herman Mars (Mandolin and Vocals). Hermitage Band was introduced to Bar-Ax through Mr Arash Sobhani from Kiosk who expressly told the band that he “enjoyed some of their songs” and “would consider recommending Hermitage Band for opening Kiosk’s next European tour”.

Hermitage band has just finished recording a five-track project and the work is in the final stages of its editing and mastering. Hermitage Band is presently looking for sponsors to promote and publish their current project.

Hermitage band members are in their early to mid 20’s who started playing music from as early as childhood. Chester Ho is a Fashion major, Chris Skelton is a History major with Masters in Persian Language studies, Rob Buscher is an Art major with Masters in Japanese Cinema and Herman Mars is an International Business major. Buscher and Mars first met and soon began writing music in 2004 while studying at the same university. Later on two other classmates, Chris Skelton and Chester Ho joined the band. Mars and Buscher took part in a critically acclaimed Art project in 2009, which was co-written and co-directed by Mars and exhibited in Kensington high street.

The collaboration of visuals and music do not end in films but also painting is another aspect of the current project. The paintings, done by Herman Mars and will be released as soon as the band’s first EP is published. “Hermitage is an ultimately visual, vibrant, lively and philosophical Rock band that plans to unleash powers of fantasy into people’s ordinary lives”, according to Herman Mars.

The current five-track project, made by Hermitage band is almost ready to be released and the band will be contemplating any possible offers for sponsorship, promotion and publication.  Teitur Arnason who has worked with famous British bands such as Baby Shambles and the Horrors believes that “Hermitage band has the capacity to go very far” in the international musical scene. “Although we are here to create a new dimension in the recent Iranian musical and art scene” adds Mars.
